Assigned to the Memphis Police Department Training Academy since October 2021 and designated as the FTO Coordinator for 4 years.
Direct supervisor to 120 active field training officers, over 100 trainees. Currently manage a total of 674 users in PowerReady.
Ensure DORs, End of Phases, Monthly Evaluations, and Remedial Training Requests are submitted correctly, timely, and are completed in accordance to FTO policy.
Development and implement remedial training for trainees based on the trainees deficiencies.
Identify trainees that require probation extensions, complete probation extension forms, track all trainees that require probation extensions, and supply Human Resources with a master list of all trainees that require probation extensions.
Maintain a master list of all FTOs including current station assignment and FTO status.
Plan, coordinate, schedule, and instruct quarterly 40-hour FTO schools for Memphis Police Officers.
Plan, coordinate, schedule, and instruct annual Regional 40-hour FTO school for outside agencies.
Plan, coordinate, and schedule yearly FTO in-service.
Update and revise FTO manual/policy yearly.
Instruct recruits on FTO policy and how to use the PowerReady software. Assign recruits to workstations based on station FTO compliment, demographics, and trainee personalities.
Review end of phase FTO evaluations completed by trainees to ensure FTOs are training according to policy.
