Ms. Akshaya Krishnamurthy

As a participant in the Artspark Foundation's online community service program, I had the opportunity to contribute to the organization's mission of providing educational resources to
underprivileged students. Specifically, I helped translate academic texts from English to Tamil,
enabling students who speak Tamil as their primary language to access valuable educational materials.
Through this experience, I developed skills in translation and language proficiency, as well as
gained insight into the challenges faced by underprivileged students in accessing quality
educational resources. Working remotely, I learned the importance of clear communication and
collaboration with team members, and developed my ability to work independently and meet
deadlines.
Overall, my experience working with the Artspark Foundation has reinforced my commitment to
using my skills and abilities to make a positive impact in the world, and has deepened my
understanding of the importance of education in breaking down barriers and creating
opportunities for all individuals, regardless of their background or circumstances.

As a participant in a community service project, I had the opportunity to work with a team to
make a positive impact in our local community. Through our project, we aimed to address a
specific social or environmental issue and make a tangible difference in the lives of those
affected.
Working collaboratively with others, I learned valuable skills in project planning, communication, and problem-solving. We worked to identify the root causes of the issue we were addressing and develop creative and sustainable solutions to address them.
Through our efforts, we were able to make a positive impact in the lives of individuals and families in our community. We also learned the importance of working with community
stakeholders and building partnerships to create long-lasting change.

• As a volunteer teacher for the Thrive Foundation's education program, I had the opportunity to work with underprivileged students in a government school from grades 6 to 10. Through my work, I gained valuable experience in creating lesson plans and delivering engaging and informative classroom sessions.
• I worked closely with students to provide individualized support and help them build confidence in their abilities. I also collaborated with fellow teachers and program coordinators to identify areas for improvement and develop new strategies for enhancing student learning.
• Working with underprivileged students has reinforced my commitment to using my skills and abilities to make a positive impact in the world, and has deepened my appreciation for the challenges faced by those who do not have access to quality education. I hope to continue supporting educational initiatives and working to create opportunities for all individuals to reach their full potential.
