Sourced and acquired important late 18th to mid-19th century portrait miniatures for private and institutional clients worldwide. Performed best-practice conservation, restoration, as well as classification of portrait miniatures for important collections, including MFA Boston, MFA Houston, Harvard Library Collection, and National Portrait Gallery, London. Contributed to the known research canon and discovered several previously unlisted American portrait miniaturists. Gave lectures about the art and history of portrait miniatures.

Worked with numerous retail galleries, such as Phillip Mould Gallery in London, in partnership for research and retail marketing of important pieces. Worked with Alan Derbyshire, head of conservation at the Victoria and Albert Museum, London, and winner of the Plowden Medal for Art Conservation.

  • Understanding and experience in museum conservation, restoration, and archives, as well as institutional protocols of material acquisition, appraisal, and historical context classification
  • Experience in using emerging technologies, such as AI, to extract, enhance, and give context to audio recordings in ways that were previously unavailable to archival endeavors
  • Deep understanding of the culture of country music with regard to musicians, songwriters, artists, executives, and marketers, and the ability and willingness to engage those relationships for the purpose of expanding and enhancing the museum's collection
  • Relationships in the fields of music technology, museum and institutional collections, and specifically where these disciplines merge and collide, ie, frequent collaborations with Dr Susan Rogers, who engineered important recordings by Prince, began the 'Vault' system of archiving his work, and is engaged in the work of restoring and releasing new and previously unheard recordings My long time relationship with David Swenson of the Frances Densmore Repatriation Project, where early wax recordings of Native American songs have been reprocessed and restored, their significance, funded by the Smithsonianian)
