I have thirty years of experience on various construction equipment. As a teenager I ran equipment for my dad's business. After high school I was able to get my class A CDL and gain experience in moving equipment and driving dump trucks for Ace Plumbing, Vic Davis Construction and then continued getting educated in a trade to become a pipe fitter for Fluor. After two years of pipefitting I started driving a truck for Kerry Jones, transporting materials. After Kerry Jones I moved on to Railroad work and began a career with Cleco. From Cleco I continued on in Railroad type work and acquired additional roles as an operator and then on to operating with Genesis Rail Services. I learned to operate equipment from rail cars as well as taking other roles as foreman and then eventually civil superintendent where I was in control of organizing jobs, attending job showings and bidding on jobs within a budget and timeframe. After taking the position as civil superintendent with Genesis, I also managed a new side of the company where we added a jack and bore crew and a pile driving crew to the company. I was able to grow this company and gain more opportunities for work through all the relationships I had made with the Railroad for the past twelve years at that rime. I now have eighteen years of railroad experience and relationships. I decided to leave Genesis Rail and assist in starting a new business with another contractor looking to invest in work with the railroad industry. They chose me to lead this business and get it started, Southeast Unlimited LLC. From there I continued to be a General Superintendent. I am looking for the opportunity to continue my career with the knowledge I have gained but possibly more time home with family. I am willing to travel as needed and would appreciate the opportunity to grow my career by joining your team.
