I am a recent graduate from the University of Tennessee, building a career in analytics. Throughout my life I have noticed that the world is built on numbers. Data and information are the leading drivers in corporate strategy, and useful, actionable, and insightful data are what separates the good from the great. With this knowledge, I decided on building a career on getting the right information into the right people's hands to create action. Every discipline requires good and complete analytics, from marketing and sales, to finance and operations. The information provided will be vastly different, but the underlying principle of providing clear and actionable insights remain the same. No analyst is complete without their toolbelt, and I decided to equip mine with R studio programming for data analysis, model building, and scripting SQL for database structure, querying data for analytics, and report designing. I have recently added ERP systems to my toolbelt, as understanding the system flow is important to providing the right information to the right people to streamline processes and create action. Ultimately, to summarize my drivers in one sentence, it would be “Get the right information to the right people, and you will create action”.
