Roles And Responsibilities

  • A Quality Assurance (QA) or Quality Control (QC) Inspector ensures that products, materials, and processes meet specified standards, regulations, and customer requirements. This role is critical in maintaining product safety, reliability, and compliance, and in preventing defects before they reach customers.
  • Inspection & Testing: Conduct regular inspections of raw materials, in-process items, and finished goods using industry-standard methods such as measurement, comparison to blueprints, and functional testing.
  • Compliance Checks: Verify adherence to quality standards, specifications, and regulatory requirements (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100, FDA, OSHA).
  • Defect Identification: Identify non-conformities, defects, or deviations from specifications, and classify them for corrective action.
  • Documentation: Record inspection results in detailed reports, logs, or quality databases; summarize reworks, wastes, and corrective actions.
  • Process Review: Review production line procedures, assembly methods, and supplier documentation to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Corrective Actions: Work with teams to implement and verify corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve issues.
  • Training & Mentoring: Train inspectors and production staff on quality control measures and best practices.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate and maintain inspection tools and measuring devices to ensure accuracy.
  • Audits & Compliance: Participate in internal audits, regulatory inspections, and vendor quality reviews.
  • Continuous Improvement: Recommend and implement process improvements to enhance product quality and efficiency.
  • Proficiency in measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, gauges), non-destructive evaluation equipment, and quality software.
