Summary

I realize that the position I am applying for is not a nursing position. However, I have felt a calling to serve my community in a different aspect, for several years now. I believe that my extensive medical background (29 years) ensures I am a qualified candidate for the after school Journeys program. I find myself excited about the opportunity to develop, educate, and support a different population of individuals. I am eager to begin a new chapter in my life that will allow for an improved work-life balance. I do plan to continue to work on an as needed basis as a Registered Nurse to maintain an active license. However, the position at Journeys will be my priority. I am willing and look forward to learning and growing in a different aspect, while working with children.
