Dennis Drake

I have been a firefighter/relief driver for Nashville since 2001. In 24yrs of service I have had the opportunity to relief drive as soon as I passed my qualifications tests. I have for most of my career worked in at least a double company. So I have had the opportunity to work on, drive/operate and help maintain multiple pieces of equipment. During my time I have also operated both aerial and pumpers on large and small incidents. I always keep a calm demeanor and think through my actions during high pressure incidents. Throughout the years I have had the privilege of working with experienced senior men that have taught me a lot. And through those interactions I have been fortunate to get a lot of hands on training. I also have a mechanical mindset. So that mindset has been very beneficial to me in understanding the operations of the equipment and how the equipment works and its limitations.
