As a Behavioral Health Technician, I worked on all units in the facility, helping all types of patients and patients of all ages. My main task was ensuring all patients' safety and enforcing rules. During my time at Creekside, I was trained in and did use PRT (Physical Restraint Technique). I also became certified in CPR. My job also included making sure patients got to all of their meals and activities safely and in a timely manner. I was also able to learn a lot about mental health treatment and was able to sit in on therapy sessions to gain further knowledge for my career in therapy.
