Unique educational opportunity: I was selected to participate in a week of studying at the Ultrasound Institute at USC, where I learned how to utilize modern ultrasound devices. I learned and practiced on real-life simulators then graduate to examining current USC School of Medicine students. Upon the conclusion of the week, I was selected to demonstrate to an audience of professors my knowledge by performing an ultra sound on a live medical student. I explained in both medical and layman terms, the anatomy of the images appearing on the monitor and how various pressure levels could manipulate the images allowing for more visibility and clearer diagnosis
Up to 16 hours each school year I have chosen to volunteer for service hours at the Chattanooga Soup Kitchen. I work behind the scenes in packing snack packs to be delivered to other school-age students. I also help in the heavy lifting and organizing of supplies in the back room.
Once a month, I would read books to the cats held at the Pet Placement Center. I would clean their litter boxes and provide them with love and attention. I also helped foster dogs in my home and supported the organization at adoption events.
I found a passion for drawing and Art in general. I have been the recipient of first-place awards and cash prizes for drawings submitted through school programs. I especially enjoy drawing for Anime / Manga as I find it challenging. I started with free-hand drawing in pencil and now apply my skills to free-hand digital drawings.
