As a dispatcher for the flight school at my university my roles include fueling aircraft, dispatching flights, and maintaining a safety standard to ensure that all flight operations go smoothly. I chose to work dispatch to see the other side of flight operations and expand my knowledge as a pilot. Organization, leadership, and ensuring safety are skills that I have acquired and helped me be successful at my job. On a busy day during a shift, me and a team work together to send between 20 and 30 flights out and ensure that all operations go as they should in a training environment.
In college I joined MTOP (Middle Tennessee Outdoor Pursuits) which is a program at my college to introduce Students to new outdoor experiences and adventure. I specialize in fly fishing, however I also do camping and hiking also. Being a guide for trips has helped teach me to be a leader and take on responsibility.
Worked for a company over the summer that serviced clients by installing irrigation sprinkler systems. We also dug trenches for pipes and underground powerlines.
During my time in High School, starting small using limited resources, I was the owner/operator of a landscaping company servicing clients in the greater memphis area. My teams dependability and work ethic reflected on the trust our customers put in us and by the time we graduated high school, we serviced 60 weekly/ bi weekly yards in the summers and did a variety of other jobs including mulching, hedge trimming, gutter cleaning, weed removal, etc.
