Schott has a yearly global award for the innovation that best product. In 2015 the Schott Gemtron Innovations department developed a new high performance Low E coating coating to apply to glass. This coating was called SHR (Schott High Reflective). This coating was key development that allowed Schott Gemtron Sweetwater sales team to gain a market advantage over all other Low E coatings at the time.
