My father was a general contractor for most of my life up until just a couple years ago, and he would bring me to work with him. I have helped him do many different tasks such as:

• Build porches
• Paint houses (outside and inside)
• Tile floors
• Basic plumbing and electrical work
• etc.

I would also do many of those things under Operation Backyard, which I volunteered to do with my church. However, the main focus of Operation Backyard was:

• Building porches and wheelchair ramps
• Yard work and cleaning
• Small fixes on doors, fences, etc.

• Provided daily care for pets and maintained cleanliness of homes.
• Managed pet medications and special dietary needs.
• Developed trust with clients through consistent communication and reliability.

• I was a door-to-door "salesman" that offered free consultations for a variety of yard services.
• I was expected to have a good knowledge of how our company's services worked and be able to have a friendly conversation with just about anyone, even when they don't want me around.
• After about a week of training and supervision, I was entrusted with a company vehicle and a tablet to record my work each day.
