Managed acquisition processes for electric supplies and equipment, addressing and resolving issues for 25 East TN electric utilities.

I was originally hired in 1994 by Dillard Smith as a contract meter reader for Etowah Utilities. In May of 1996 Etowah Utilities hired me on as a meter reader for the utilities. In 2001 I applied and was given the job of purchasing for the electric department and also the position of meter reading supervisor. In 2002 I was looking at the advancements of radio read meters with the Itron system. Over the next 10 years I was able to supervise the installation of over 2500 radio read meters to make sure that billing was correct. In 2009 I was also given the job of residential billing for all departments as well as handling customer complaints and issues. I saw the need to advance the billing and meter readings with the new technology of the AMI, Automated Meter Infrastructure. This advancement is still on going and has many benefits that are not being implemented at this time.
