I was a proud receiver of the the Power of One. This is an award that recognizes an employee that exemplifies Methodist Core values. A patient’s friend pulled up to the emergency room entrance. The passenger (patient) was blue, not breathing and had no pulse. I performed CPR in the car until myself and the security guard were able to transfer the patient to a stretcher. In the end, the patient did survive due to our quick actions.
