- I currently help as needed in one of our six emergency departments
- I was a member of the Nurse Unit Practice Council for the last 8 years of my career in the emergency department
- This is a group of nurses and technicians that perform evidence-based practice studies and are the eyes and ears for the emergency department
- I was also a member of the patient experience board
- Our goal is increasing patient satisfaction
- We did see an increase the year I was a member in August of 2020
- I also started the outreach program, which I and another employee went to the local fire and police stations to build our relationships with our responding law enforcement, fire, and EMS services

- The passenger (patient) was blue, not breathing and had no pulse
- I performed CPR in the car until myself and the security guard were able to transfer the patient to a stretcher
- In the end, the patient did survive due to our quick actions
