  • As a dangerous goods agent, I worked in the outbound section of the hub operations.
  • I was responsible for keeping track and recording all freight for my region that came to me daily.
  • Each piece had to be inspected for proper packaging according to the dangerous goods guidelines, as well as scanned in the proper containers, blocked and braced, and properly marked so that all parties involved in the loading and unloading of the container could clearly identify its contents.
  • I was responsible for properly inserting and securing the oxygen hoses for flight and going over the load plan of the dangerous goods with the pilot.
  • We moved a good portion of our dangerous goods on trucks.
