Operations Incharge of forex department of Central Bank's Coimbatore Main Branch.

The duties include following work

• Handling export and import clients and their queries related to Export and Import
• Canvassing FCNR Deposits
• Handling high value NRI clients
• Reconciliation of EDPMS and IDPMS entries
• Issuance of bank guarantee and letter of credits in Indian Rupees and Foreign Currencies
• Taking forex rates on behalf of clients and booking of forwards
• Issuance of packing credits in INR and foreign currencies
• Coordinating with ECGC and credit rating agencies
• Canvassing new accounts for forex business
• Conducting customer meet for forex customers
• Reconciliation of forex GL accounts of the branch
• Handling RBI queries related to ODI and FDI on behalf of clients

The Role includes the Following :-

• Customer Acquisition and Relationship Management
• Export and Import Financing:
• Issuance Of Bank Guarantee And Letter Of Credits In Indian Rupees And Foreign Currencies
• Documentary Collections

• Acted as Checker/Verifier in various sections of Centralized Foreign Exchange Processing Centre.
• Handled Import Section and Export Section as Checker/Verifier for Export Docs,Clean Import Docs,Bills under Letter of Credit.
• Reviewing LC terms and conditions, ensuring compliance with applicable rules and regulations (e.g., Uniform Customs and Practice for Documentary Credits), and coordinating with customers to facilitate LC issuance, amendments, and payments.

• Member of the founding team of Indian Overseas Bank centralized Forex cell.
• Completed User Acceptance Test for various modules of Forex cell.
• Worked as a maker in various sections of the Centralized Foreign Exchange Cell like Exports,Imports,Inward Remittances,Outward Remittance,Letter of Credit and Bank Guarantee.

Joined bank as a probationary officer and got selected for treasury foreign operations.
