How I Learned About the Radiologic Technology Program at CSCC

I learned about the Radiologic Technology Program from a good friend I went to high school with. I was stuck trying to figure out what career path I wanted to go down and she recommended this program. She told me that she did not know if she would end up liking this career, but this program helped her realize how much she actually fell in love being a Radiologic Technologist. After hearing her talk about this career, I researched it and realized that this is what I wanted to do as well.

Medical Field Experience

  • I was a HOSA member during my senior year of high school.
  • I was in the Medical Assisting Program that they offered at my high school where did clinicals twice a week at Ascension Saint Thomas Hickman.
  • I helped fill out patient intake forms, spun cultures, put tourniquets on patients and found veins for the lab tech to draw blood from, did urine tests, preformed blood pressure tests and measured other vital signs.
  • I passed the CMA (Certified Medical Assisting) exam and received my certification.
  • I was certified is CPR.
