Service and Leadership

Meharry Oral Health Day

  • Organization: Meharry Medical College
  • Dates: 08/23/25 and 03/07/26
  • Description: Assisted the school of dentistry to medically clear and triage patients for oral health day. Referred patients to our family medicine continuity clinic if they needed to establish care with a primary care physician. This day provided free oral healthcare to any TN resident, services included: fillings, extractions, cleaning and dental exams.

Mobile Health Team — Case Manager

  • Organization: Meharry Medical College
  • Dates: 2019 – 2020
  • Description: Student-run organization that is committed to providing essential items and healthcare outreach to Nashville, TN community camps suffering from homelessness
  • Activity: "Engaged in bi-weekly “Saturday Morning Rounds” to distribute necessary outreach supplies, vouchers for public transportation, and direct individuals experiencing homelessness to our student￾operated Salt Wagon Clinic at Meharry Medical College."

Chipata and Lusaka, Zambia Mission Trip 

  • Organization: Coptic Orthodox Church

  • Description: Served underserved populations residing in the impoverished areas of Lusaka and Chipata by distributing outreach materials, delivering sermons, arranging sports events for the youth, coordinating activities for an orphanage in the vicinity, and visited the construction site of the "Coptic Mission" hospital

Arabic Interpreter

  • Description: I volunteered as an Arabic interpreter for non-English speaking refugees at Siloam, an organization that caters to Nashville's most medically vulnerable and underserved immigrants and refugees. I assisted in offering social services to new immigrants and refugees.

  • Description: I assisted in instructing and supervising students in two chemistry laboratories. I ensured adherence to safety protocols in the labs.

Nashville Refugee Mission Trip

  • Dates: Spring Break 03/2014
  • Description: I devoted spring break week to assisting newly arrived refugees in adapting to their new life in the United States. During this time, I provided guidance on basic tasks, including grocery shopping, filling out job applications, and making use of the resources available at the public library.
