I grew up in Iredell county North Carolina. In high school I did JROTC every semester and practiced leadership. During this time I developed a great work ethic, leadership skills and learned from others. I was an EMT student my senior year and after school I would go to my internship at Natural Beginnings Birth and Wellness center. I would check the patients vitals and learns skills from the nurses there. I was involved in sports and played soccer in middle school and high school. A few months after Graduation I started working at the county dispatch center. I fell in love with dispatching and helping others. I stayed there for 19 months before I got married and moved to Clarksville Tennessee. Now I am happily married to my husband who is active duty military at Fort Campbell Kentucky and I am in Dental Assisting school.
During my time as a 911 dispatcher I earned a life saving award with exemplary service where I walked the caller through moving the patient out of a confined space, CPR and other life saving techniques. In order to receive this award the patient has to be resuscitated and live past 30 days.
