Project Summary

Yang Ming Shipping’s Ship Booking System is designed to provide customers with a seamless platform to book container space for shipments. The system handles container booking requests, verifies space availability, manages customer details, and provides real-time shipment tracking. The system also supports various stages of shipment booking, including booking creation, booking modification, and booking cancellation, while ensuring that the necessary business rules and validations are followed.

Role :Manual and Automation Testing

Key Responsibilities

• Test Automation Development: Developed and maintained automated test scripts using SAHI Pro for functional and regression testing, ensuring high test coverage and efficient execution.
• Test Planning: Collaborated with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and prepared detailed test plans, test cases, and scripts for automation.
• SAHI Pro Implementation: Integrated SAHI Pro with Jenkins to achieve continuous integration and automation of regression test suites.
• Test Script Optimization: Worked on optimizing test scripts for better performance, reliability, and maintainability within the SAHI Pro framework.
• Cross-Browser Testing: Performed cross-browser testing to ensure application compatibility across different browsers like Chrome, Firefox, and Internet Explorer.
• Bug Reporting & Debugging: Identified, reported, and tracked defects using TFS, ensuring timely resolution and maintaining a close working relationship with development teams to troubleshoot and debug issues.
• Test Execution & Reporting: Ran automated test cases, analyzed test results, and provided detailed reports on test execution status, defect status, and overall test coverage.
• Test Case Creation: Designed and executed comprehensive test cases based on functional and business requirements, ensuring thorough test coverage and defect-free software.
• Manual Testing Execution: Conducted end-to-end manual testing for both web applications, including functional, regression, and smoke testing.
• Collaboration: Worked closely with developers, business analysts, and QA leads to ensure the development of a quality product through automated and manual testing.
• Continuous Improvement: Actively contributed to process improvements by identifying areas where testing efficiency could be enhanced and best practices implemented.
