Morrigan Hammer

Working there, I helped the store by adapting to and supporting all
departmental functions across varied shifts.

I worked stocking grocery and produce, unloading trucks, and
downstacking pallets in the warehouse, running floats of products
onto the sale floor in a timely manner, working with customers and
handling money up front on registers, and practicing safety when it
came to handling tools and food in the meat market and deli.

I worked with multiple types of machinery and spent multiple hours

operating them. I found safety incredibly important to me and

worked with detail, making sure to use chemicals correctly, clean

with proper sanitization in my best interest and maintaining our

machines to keep my coworkers and our customers safe. I used

different types of machinery, such as:

• Ovens, Slicers, and Fryers
• A baler, Pallette jacks, Forklifts, and Floor Machines
• Meat grinders, Knives, Scales and labelers

Food Lion was my first job, and working there, I learned multiple

lessons on what is important to me as a worker. I find security,

understanding, and collaboration are a big part of my daily life on the job.
