I began visiting Crossville, Tennessee, in 2017 and found it to be a much more positive and supportive environment compared to my previous residences in Valdosta, Georgia, and Nanjemoy, Maryland. In late 2022, I moved to Crossville to assist my grandparents with their slowly declining health and officially established residency in 2023.
During this time, I made cash in the meantime by doing outdoor maintenance tasks such as lawn care. In September 2024, I enrolled at the Tennessee College of Applied Technology to study Computer Information Technology. To first help fund my education, I participated in the Federal Work-Study Program, where I first worked as a janitor. Eventually, I got the opportunity to work for a private financial department, which provided additional financial support. Unfortunately, the department I was working in is relocating, and I am unable to move with them. While the CIT program has provided me with valuable knowledge, career-related opportunities through the school have been limited. Leaving me on a job hunt. Which then a friend of mine in class, Fish, stated that he started working just over break, not too long ago, placing Buc-ees at the top of my list with their good work environments and competitive pay.
I am seeking a stable, local position where I can contribute consistently. I believe that I would be a great fit for the janitorial and maintenance attendant role at Buc-ee’s. I bring hands-on experience maintaining clean, safe environments, operating both hand and power cleaning tools, and following proper safety procedures. Especially after experiencing a needlestick injury on the federal work study job.
I am dependable, hard-working, and eager to apply my skills to this position if I am given the chance to work at Buc-ee's.
