Serving as a senior representative of JICA Tunisia office. There are 22 members (8 Japanese, 14 Tunisian) in JICA Tunisia office. JICA Tunisia is managing over10 concessional loan projects on infrastructure and currently looking into a potential public-private partnership project. We also provide 5 techincal cooperation projects, 3 grant projects, 15 or so volunteers, trainings and scholarships to Japan, etc. My role is to support Resident Representative to deliver these projects ad to act on her behalf when necessary. I am also responsible to manage office administration including personnel management, budget, accounting/procurement. JICA Tunisia office covers JICA activities in Algeria.
Served as a Senior Representative at JICA Senegal office. there are 55 staff in JICA Senegal (25 Japanese, 30 Senegalese), with a Resident representative and 2 senior representatives. I was in charge of general affairs (administration, personnel management of local staff, accounting and procurement, security), JICA volunteers and infrastructure sector. The other senior representative covers sectors such as health, education, agriculture, fisheries. Senegal office also covers JICA activities in Gunea, Guinea Bissau, Ganbia, Cabo Verde, Mauritania and Mali.
The division provided support to groups of researchers internal and external JICA to conduct research related to Japanese ODA. Managed the division to deliver research outputs, such publication of research papers (preferable in international journals) and books, organise seminars or events on the research results. For some researches, I conducted household surveys by contracting consultants in the fields.
