- - Implemented Groove Life’s Quality System from scratch. Thirty key business processes were developed and implemented where none previously existed. To name a few: Product Life Cycle Management; Phase gate reviews; Design for X; Engineering Change Orders; Product Design reviews; Supply Base Management practices; Quality documentation for creating consistency in production builds and inspections; and not to forget Engineering documentation. Last and not the least - New product Introduction processes.
- - Developed issue resolution processes and inspection acceptance standards that resulted in a 15-25% reduction in stateside scrap rates (webbing, buckles, rings and wallets) in 6 weeks.
- -Resolved 20 various product issues resulting in a reduction of scrap rates on webbing and belt buckles, wallets and silicone rings by 40%.
- - Introduced management by metrics for offshore suppliers. Production reports were developed capturing line down / part shortage and yield detractors. Visibility into supplier processes allowed for a 10-30% decrease in orders on hold or rejected (hidden factory).
- - Directed implementation of the Engineering Change Order (ECO) process, resulting in better visibility, communication and alignment of changes throughout the change order process and supply chain. The end results was ~ 10-15% faster ECO implementation time with fewer mistakes.
- -Accountable for selecting and on boarding a regulatory 3rd party partner (Assent) for helping manage the ever-changing landscape of sustainability and compliance. This outsourcing approach was more cost effective vs hiring additional resources at Groove Life (saving ~100K a year).
