
Passionate and dedicated professional with more than 20 years of combined experience in education, public service, and community advocacy. Driven by a lifelong commitment to helping students learn, grow, and reach their full potential, she first discovered her passion for teaching through Junior Achievement student teaching experiences. She later served as a Permanent Substitute Teacher with Shelby County Schools from 2001 to 2007 before transitioning to the Tennessee Department of Human Services, where she developed extensive expertise in leadership, training, mentoring, communication, family engagement, and advocacy while serving children, families, and communities for more than 17 years. Recognized for building positive relationships, fostering collaboration, and creating supportive learning environments, she is eager to return to the classroom and inspire students through engaging instruction, compassion, and real-world experience.
