Current Project:

1. Design and Development of Front Axle and driveline

• Led a team on design and development (NPD) of MFWD axle and Driveline portfolio for Light weight Tractor platform (15 HP to 50 HP) for Domestic & International Market contributing to 5% Market share.

Task Performed:

• Concept generation of axle & driveline with QCD (Quality, Cost & Delivery) target.
• Benchmarking of different axle & Transfer box layouts & understanding the RWUP(Real World Usage Pattern)
• Design calculations for gears ,differential,Planetary drives, shafts and Bearings using Romax & Kisssoft for ‘Transfer box and Front Axle’.
• Detail Design and tolerance stack up as per ASME Y14.5-2018/2009.
• Conducting system level DFA, DFS & DFMEA along with DVP generation in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Preparation of drawing for new components.(NX-Unigraphics & CREO)
• Concept level Romax analysis of axle & transfer box with or without idler
• Systematic failure analysis and solution identification for Lab & Field failure.
• DWM & resource allocation for managing multiple priority
• Interaction with Supplier for Proprietary parts (Cylinder & Tie rod) for design finalization.

Previous Projects

• Designed & developed MFWD axle & driveline for higher HP (55-95HP) Platform with 30% cost reduction from benchmark and best in class performance on Loader & Agri application
• Design and Development of Dropdown axle for 35-55 HP Mahindra Yuvo Platform with 20% cost reduction and superior performance .This helped Mahindra achieve Market leadership in below 50 HP 4WD segment tractor.
• Created workframe of in-house 4WD axle design in M&M which was first in the company
• Converted existing Arjun 2WD tractor to 4WD with minimum design modification which helped company to enter the Loader segment.
