Work closely with RN, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide direct patient care.

• Assist nursing staff with phlebotomy, venipuncture, and capillary tasks for labs.
• Collect specimens when requested, such as stool, urine, and sputum.
• Perform a 12-lead EKG when requested by the nurse.
• Assist patients with daily living activities, such as bathing, feeding, hygiene, toileting, and transporting.
• Maintain infection control standards and sterilization procedures to ensure safety.
• Obtain patients' vitals and blood glucose.
• Assist nursing staff with skin assessments, and document any changes.
• Assist the patient with mobility, including transferring and repositioning the patient safely.
• Assist nursing staff with wound dressing changes.

Provide direct care for patients under nurse supervision.

• Assist residents with bathing, grooming, transporting, oral hygiene, toileting, and use proper assistive devices when needed.
• Obtain and record residents' vitals, blood glucose, weight measurements, and intake and output.
• Answered call lights promptly and responded appropriately to requests from residents, patients, families, visitors.
• Collect urine and stool specimens for laboratory testing when requested.
• Assisted patients with mobility issues to move from bed to wheelchair or chair and back again.
• Maintain a comfortable environment for residents by routinely cleaning the room.
• Document and notify RN of any changes with resident
• Train newly hired patient care aides
