  • Managed the ethanol sales & logistics team selling 100% of Eco Energy’s US & Canada supply.

West Coast Ethanol Trade Lead
  • Responsible for all domestic ethanol trading and position management west of Chicago. Opinion and positions formulated based upon S&D modeling, fundamental and technical analysis. Executed a combination of fixed price, index priced contracts and positions to optimize arbitrage opportunities and monetize market conditions. Trade contributions between $100,000 to $300,000 monthly.
  • Responsible for corporate wide LCFS standards and carbon index trading. Negotiate ci values and volumes attached to physical contracts and the value split between parties. Inventory management, mark to market valuation, and monetized value of traded and stripped credits.
  • Directed our sales team and “Alliance Representatives” to set the appropriate expectations for our plant partners. These decisions were based upon market conditions as well as expected values in both spot and deferred markets. Provided bids to create liquidity for our plant partners in order to execute sales; improving their flow for production, revenue recognition and logistics planning.
  • Liaison to Eco Energy’s plant partners, advising on market conditions across the forward pricing curve, developed sales plans based upon margin structure, managed rail car fleets as well as logistics efficiency and execution of plant sales.

  • Traded physical ethanol across a myriad of domestic markets: New York Harbor, Argo (Chicago), western manifest markets, as well as financial trading instruments (futures & swaps).
  • Managed crush margin through the execution of financial derivatives, as well as physical ethanol sales and logistics for all of Bunge’s ethanol operations.

  • Sales and trading in excess of 750 million gallons of ethanol per year across 14 North American plants. Responsibilities included managing Aventine’s physical sales book and inventory positions, as well as supervising and directing both customer service representatives and the logistics team.
  • In 2006, responsible for executing sales, resulting $120 million of net income through maximization of optimizing our logistics platform involving over 50 petroleum terminals, 1,500 railcars, 16 river vessels, and a dynamic truck program.
