• This project involves the development of a loan processing application that manages the end-to-end lifecycle of a loan, from initiation to loan amount dispersal. The system facilitates various user roles, including bankers, checkers, and makers, each responsible for different stages of the loan application process. The application performs multiple checks and approvals throughout the loan lifecycle. It integrates with several third-party services to retrieve external data and processes large feed files for efficient loan management and decision-making. The goal is to streamline loan processing, ensure compliance, and enhance operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities & Achievements:

• Feed File Processing: Worked on processing large feed files using Autosys, ensuring seamless data flow and integration into the loan processing system.
• Loan Application Validation: Executed various business rules and checks for loan applications using the Drools Engine, ensuring compliance and accuracy at each stage of the loan lifecycle.
• Issue Resolution: Actively involved in debugging and validating production issues, providing timely solutions to minimize downtime and ensure smooth system operation.
• Mentorship: Provided guidance and technical mentorship to junior developers, helping them with coding standards, best practices, and troubleshooting techniques.
• Client Interaction: Participated in client requirement discussion calls, gathering and clarifying functional requirements to ensure alignment with business needs and technical implementation.

Project Description :

• This project involved migrating a legacy Beehive-based application to a modern Spring Boot architecture. The application tracks the lifecycle of telecom infrastructure orders across the United States, from order creation to completion. It manages the roles and approvals of various engineers, monitors cost and budget approvals, and ensures efficient project execution. The migration aimed to improve system scalability, performance, and maintainability while supporting Verizon’s goal of building and managing telecom infrastructure across the country.

Key Responsibilities & Achievements:

• Microservices Development: Developed and implemented Spring Boot and Spring Cloud microservices to build scalable and efficient backend applications.
• Legacy System Modernization: Contributed to the transformation of legacy monolithic systems (Beehive-based) into REST-based services, participating in Techspike review processes.
• Agile Project Involvement: Actively engaged in the full software development lifecycle following the SAFE Agile Scrum methodology. Participated in PI Planning, sprint planning, retrospectives, and impact assessments.
• Team Leadership and Client Focus: Took ownership of critical tasks, ensuring timely delivery and prioritizing items that were essential for both team progress and client satisfaction. Regularly communicated with clients to ensure alignment with business needs and deadlines.
