I'm a hardworking and passionate student who is very encaustic about the interests that I pursue. When needed I can be an effective leader and I always try to stay calm and confident.
I plan on aiding the Merrol Hyde community through projects like painting the side of the wall in the upper parking lot.
As a member of Mock Trial, I served as a witness as well as a lawyer. As I lawyer, I cross examined the main witness and the person that the plaintiff, us, was suing. I also asked our medical professional questions. My job was to prove the negligence of a business owner. As co-president I plan to lead the team, organize all the paperwork and help our coach distribute the work, as well as teaching the new members how the process works.
I'm back of house management, which means that everything behind the kitchen is my responsibility to close. This means I have to wash dishes, the sinks, the floor, and take care of all the trash.
As a Beta member, I help the community by donating to charity, cleaning up public parks, and helping clean teachers classrooms.
I participate in 2 annual conferences, Model United Nations, in which I roleplay as a country and present a resolution asking the UN General Assembly for various things. Another conferences is Youth in Government, which is local Tennessee roleplay in which I present a bill to the Tennessee House or Senate. Making these bills requires a great deal of research and presenting them forces you to put your public speaking skills to the test.
Supervised kids ages 6-11 while they ran around a felid playing games, canoed, and swam. I would help paddle the canoe and assist if they needed help swimming, as many of them were learning for the first time. In afternoons the kids would be split into teams and complete in challenges based on the activities done in the morning, and as a counselor i would lead the team, which usually meant handing out assignments and giving orders.
