PiPES (Possibilities in Postsecondary Education and Science) is a program affiliated with the University of Tennessee that focuses on improving career and education resources for students attending high school in rural Appalachia area. As a PiPES team member, I assist in:

• Providing resources by explaining career and education options that exist to rural Appalachia students
• Facilitating and leading classroom discussions about STEMM careers and helping students unlock career paths catered towards their interests

• Established welcoming atmosphere by greeting each guest warmly.
• Helped guests at tables when in need of assistance.
• Trained new staff in front-of-house procedures, customer relations, and cleaning.
• Assisted servers with delivering food, filling beverages, and retrieving items for guests.
