Data pipeline set up:

Designed the data pipeline to publish data from the dynamo table to Andes using Dynamo DB streams and the datacraft pipeline. Analytics team wanted the data from IcedWorks Dynamo table to be available in Andes for the AMZ ratings experiment.

Admin tool:

Automated a manual process of data aggregation by the policy Ops team to identify Sock puppet accounts that inflate or deflate a book’s ratings and affected the book’s page and Listopia. Developed an admin tool using Ruby to address the issue.

Automated Giveaway failures:

Giveaways could have 50-100 orders attached to each of them, few of these orders could fail due to a fraud verification that happens in the order completion workflow, in which case new winners would be picked and new orders created. This was done manually earlier. I onboarded a DCQS client to the Giveaway Java service, to retrieve the order details and automatically run a script to pick new winners based on the order failure code.

MySQL upgrade:

Performed a major version upgrade of MySQL 5.6 to 5.7 for 5 alpha and 6 production DB’s and it was a critical upgrade as it was backward incompatible and involved huge(~2.36T data volume) production DB’s.

Mandates:

I have performed complex cloudAuth migration for 8 endpoints and JDK17 upgrades for 5 Java services.

Other initiatives:

• Owned up the Sandswitch migration series II and series III and completed migration for the Rdraock team.
• I'm one of the members of the core group in setting up the HiSIR (High Severity Issue Resolver) Training and have been frequently conducting this training for new SE's who join teams across Books org.
• Initiated Knowledge sharing sessions for the SE team and created SE team wiki and SO

Caterpillar Job Expense Tracker for financial data analysis.

• I worked in the development of a financial forecast and analysis tool for the Caterpillar finance department which was used in great deal for their monthly financial analysis, quarterly financial forecasting, annual budgeting, project prioritization, investment analysis, NPI reviews and product cost monitoring.
• The application was built on Sencha framework, used Wijmo extensions and typescript for the frontend.
• I contributed towards new feature development, unit testing and bug fixing for the application.

Worked on developing and optimizing Stored Procedures using Oracle SQL

developer for existing and new FACETS interfaces.

• Integrated Healthcare Support Workbench [Apr 2016- Feb 2017]

Worked on developing an Integrated Support workbench that acts as a

knowledge Management platform for Healthcare payers, using .Net MVC

framework. A web-based application for the users to perform advanced

search on various Facets modules and manage information.

• Operations Dashboard [Jul 2015- Mar 2016]

Developed a web application in the .Net MVC framework which caters as a

dashboard for the operations in the team under various Facets towers. A portal to track, manage, view and modify incidents and reports.

Developed routines as console applications and configured them to run on

a scheduled basis to provide an automation for report generation and E-

mail notification to business.

• Customer Value Service(CVS) - [Sep 2014- Jun 2015]

Developed packages and shell scripts to handle huge volume of data in the

data-warehousing track of the project. The project involved many tracks

such as data warehousing, logistics, merchandise etc. for a prominent US

based pharmaceutical drug chain store.
