Experienced Police Officer Currently a P.O.S.T. certified Deputy with the Robertson County Sheriff Office. I have over 13 years experience in Law Enforcement. I have been certified in the FTO program at Robertson County Sheriff's Office. I have been certified as an Instructor Development. Serving as an SRO has heightened my sense of security and safety of the schools for the students and staff. This includes working sporting events and special events. I am able to spot potential problems and position myself as a deterrent. During my FTO, I was able experience how middle schools and high schools function during the school days. Being a youth minister, also gives me constant contact with middle and high school students. I am able to manage groups of people and delegate responsibilities to other people. I have put in to go through FTO training to help train new personnel. I served with other agencies as dispatcher, correctional officer, road deputy, SRT, and K-9 manhunt and recovery team. Serving in these different agencies and fields, I have learned to communicate with the public better. I have developed good report writing skills. I am more observant and pay closer attention to my surroundings. I am proficient with a computer. Working in these different areas and agencies, it has helped me to be able to develop trust with my coworkers and officers. Team building, and trust is important to working in law enforcement. Working with youth the past few years has giving me an understanding of how to communicate with them. The combination of youth work and law enforcement will give me an advantage when dealing with students and their surroundings to help keep them safe as well as the staff and visitors that might be attending the school or school function.
